Part-funded by the Sheffield City Region Investment Fund (SCRIF), Rockingham comprises of infrastructure works to a site totaling 127 acres, including the cut, fill and re-use of 320,000 cubic metres of material and the clearance of 80,000 sqm of vegetation. The project has been designed to achieve zero waste using a cut/fill balance.
Additional works include a new S278 roundabout that is being constructed on a busy dual carriageway, an S38 road to provide infrastructure and development platforms for future industrial development, ground remediation and surcharging.
