The project comprised the refurbishment of Ripon Academy's existing sports hall, which included stripping the building back to its original steel frame, repairing and reinforcing as required, recladding with brick and composite panels and a new roof. The budget was maximised through the retention of the original sports hall floor.
The changing rooms were also refurbished, including all new M&E and white rock cladding. Externally, a new MUGA was created, giving the school much need space for tennis and football.
The school remained operational throughout the works with appropriate segregation of works and safeguarding in place throughout.
