The project was one of the first Morrisons’ new ‘Market Kitchen’ sections in stores across the UK, opening in Edgbaston in 2021. The new format provides a part-supermarket part-fresh food takeaway service, where meals are freshly made to order by chefs ready for customer collection in store or home delivery via Deliveroo.

RPP provided principal designer and CDM Client Advisor services to Morrisons, which included site audits, roof access reports, compilation of pre-construction information packs, a review of the principal contractor’s construction phase plans and compilation of the health and safety file with information from the principal contractor, architect and other designers.
