RPP are Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyors on this major new industrial development, which is part of the regeneration of the former Kellingley Colliery site in Knottingley and supported by a £1.8m grant from the European Regional Development Fund (EDRF).

The site is steeped in history and was the UK’s last deep coal mine to close in 2015. In its heyday, it employed thousands of local people. The project is part of the continued regeneration of the ‘Five Towns’, on a site that is only 20 minutes away from Pontefract.

The scheme is seeing the construction of 11 high-specification trade/industrial units that range from 3,000 sq ft to 4,000 sq ft extensive car parking, with electric vehicle charging points, along with high quality landscaping.
